So come his crashing into someone, there's a surprised gasp as he quickly backs up and tenses up, eyes wide and going to that bright light blue as he subconsciously sets up a semi-solid shield around him for the moment]
Sorry! I'm so sorry I wasn't watching where I was going, any damage to your books I can help pay for, I promise!
[And he was aiming to help to get the books and anything dropped up before he properly realized who he bumped into being Red, his eyes still bright, but he reigned the shield in, actively aware he was doing it. He didn't know if anyone else had seen it. Nevermind he was dealing with a bruised right upper arm at the moment.
no subject
Hey, it's not a big deal. They're just books.
[Once that shield is dropped she bends down to help pick up the rest of her books. However, there was something that she'd noticed.]
What's wrong with your arm, Ronny?
no subject
O-on my way home yesterday, I slammed my arm against the wall. L-lost my balance and was going too fast, is all.
[There was no eye contact. Ronny was, and always would be, a terrible liar. Especially to people he cared about.]
no subject
Don't do that. Don't you lie to me. Who did it?
no subject
It was my fault, honestly. Gwynne's been under a lot of stress and wanted me to go out and get some groceries and I forgot a few things. She pushed me into the wall, but it's nothing, really. I promise.
[Because it's definitely not her being a psycho bitch. Nope.]
no subject
Then I'm going to find the bitch and have a word with her.
[That's not something that can be stopped either, unfortunately.]
no subject
Granted, in the distance there was a hiss followed by a squeak of a dormouse waking up from his spot before drifting off again, but the blue eyed kitten was still very curious.]
Hey there, Red. Sorry for my klutzy little bunny here
[She gave a little giggle as she moved to kiss Ronny's cheek, the boy still unsure of how to react to anything going on at all right now. This was challenging. To say the least.]
no subject
You're going to step away from Ronny and step away from him now, Gwynne.
[Even as she says it she circles around them until she's behind them. From there she grabs a handful of Gwynne's hair and jerks the girl's head back pretty damn hard. It was time she dealt with the bitch once and for all. You didn't hurt someone that she cared about.]
no subject
The girl growled, pulling her hand from Ronnys pocket as she balled her fists, pulling out a small deck of playing cards.]
You really wanna start this? If it's not me he's dating he could've wound up dating that bitch Alice.
[Ronny's not even going to touch that topic and just briefly judge before running to get Jay. Help at least stopping the fight would be needed.]
no subject
[She doesn't, however, mention anything about Ronny dating Alice. That actually... that kind of hurt. Red wasn't going to focus on that though. No, instead she was going to focus on Gwynne and slamming her fist into the girl's face.]
no subject
She gasped, though as she quickly moved to dodge the punch, growling before sliding a card out of her pack to throw directly at Reds face before she heard two yelps and groans from the bushes and rose an eyebrow. She was a better liar, at least, than Ronny.]
Well that's certainly something.
[There's a groan as the boys poked their heads out of the bushes, definitely not pleased with anything right now.
no subject
She moves out of the way of the card, feeling it slice into cheek. Those eyes narrow on Gwynne and she advances towards her, hand come out to slam into the girl's face. Nails and all. She wasn't exactly caring about using her fist right now. Using her hand and nails worked just fine. And she was aiming to draw blood.]
no subject
Jay had words, at least]
Oh I am so glad I got here after that.
[There was a growl as he looked to Frederick, lifting his chin in a silent 'sup' and getting the same in return.]
I'll be dragging her off somewhere not here. Maybe police department. At the very least campus security. Cat! [And Dannys head poking out] You're coming with me. [And they're off! But Danny still gets to catch a glimpse of deep chocolate brown eyes and a cheshire grin with a chuckle appearing out of thin air.]
Holy shit...
[And he's off. And that cheshire grin belongs to a maine coon cat that appears shortly after, once fully on the ground, transforming as he speaks]
Y'know, it's really impressive. You managin' to go through with those claws of yours even after I'm sure you felt your special spark disappear. I'm not from here, by the way. Before you ask how I can possibly be a cat while you're not able to turn into your forms. The answer to that is simple.
[There's that grin, though]
But saying wouldn't be in my nature at all.
[And there's a purr to your superintendents voice as he speaks.]
And no, I don't care that you just fought on campus.
no subject
What she doesn't expect, however, is the superintendent coming up. The Original Cheshire Cat. Though it doesn't stop her from giving the older man a bit of a smile.]
All I did was use my nails not my claws.
[If she'd had her power, she'd of used her raven claws to gouge out Gwynne's eyes. Though she does feel the emptiness of her magic. The hole where it's at.]
No, you'd rather speak in riddles. It's the nature of your kind.
[As for the caring whether she fought on campus or not, that just gets a shrug out of her. However, right now she wanted to walk away. Leave the boys to their own devices so she can go handle her own wounds.]
no subject
[The original Cheshire gives a grin]
Jay and Danny will no doubt follow, but for now, how about some tea.
no subject
[She doesn't hesitate to pull away a bit from Frederick, grabbing a hold of one of his hands. With her free hand she grabs a hold of Ronny's. Making sure that the boys were with her and practically by her side as they walked towards the office with the original Cheshire.]
no subject
So sitting was entirely up to her.
The superintendent moved to gather some cups and the tea together, stretching out a bit before pouring some tea that could be left still steeping. It had some minor healing qualities to it, enough for a scratch, minor bruises. nothing that would be more permanent.]
So the question now is where to begin. I could tell you that you've been on my radar for a long time, all seven of you, if only because Gwynne forced her way in. And you all fit the archetypes so well. The March Hare being... Maybe a bit more skittish and a bit less insane, but not everything can be a winning pull, right?
[There's a grin as he passes the tea out to everyone before taking his seat
Meanwhile Ronny wasn't quite sure how to feel about the fact his title-sake was, in fact, insane.]
no subject
So she moves over to the couch giving Ronny a bit of a smile, so he knew that she didn't mind him sitting with her. And when the tea is handed to them, she raises a brow.]
Shouldn't you wait until the rest of my boys are here before continuing to explain things?
[Hey, it was a very valid question. After all, Jay and Daniel weren't there. Though she raises a brow.]
Why were we on your radar?
no subject
[The Cat shrugged as he sipped at his own tea]
Why is a raven like a desk?
[There's a wide grin as he speaks, the emphasis clearly being part of it.]
The queen, the dormouse, the hare, the cat and the jabberwocky. A group of five, just missing one, the ever curious daughter or son. Once all converged and grown, an adventure will be set, all theirs alone. Lead by a man or two or three, just follow the one that has the key.
[In perfect cat fashion of course.
Frederick's giving a frown, pausing in the pacing he was hardly aware he was actually doing. He wasn't used to having energy. He was used to feeling weighed down by how tired he regularly made himself feel. The door opened as Danny and Jay returned, pointing behind him at both of them and the empty chairs. He had no intention of sitting down, and Jay recognized the quiet stance as dangerous just from elementary school, immediately going to take a seat.]
Also yes, you have that to look forward to with Danny.
[And there's a face made by the dormouse.
Ronny, meanwhile we on the couch, tense because of the information being thrown at them, eyes wide as he felt his heart pounding]
B-but how exactly can we hope to do anything w-without any powers..?
[That would be a bit of a squeak to his voice as he spoke because lawl asking questions about a situation asked too much like questioning someone and that he was in danger of getting hurt because of it]
no subject
[It didn't matter that it wasn't an actual threat but for Red, it's what it felt like. Unlike Ronny though she's not afraid to call the superintendent out on it. Though she ignores the whole riddle. In fact, she hates that riddle and she's tense as well. Even as she sips her tea but sits it down in favor of taking Ronny's hand, giving it a soft squeeze.]
How did we even lose our powers?
no subject
[There's a sigh and handswish.
Ronny meanwhile holds her hand and gives a tiny smile over to her]
As for how you even lost your powers, someone has helped the actual Red Queen cross over just enough to cast a spell to affect anyone not born in Wonderland. And seeing as you were all born here, no more powers.
Stab the heart, regain your power, though.
[There's a grin, wondering how many of them would get that little not-riddle. He took his phone out briefly to send a text to someone, pocketing it shortly after and stretching out]
Help from the curious one will regain your forms.
[Ronny frowned a bit, trying to understand as he swallowed hard, shifting a bit in his seat]
no subject
There have been many threats to my group.
[Which is why she doesn't trust others that easily. Just ask her sister. Someone that she used to trust. However, she frowns slightly at that.]
We're not killers.
[Though she was really hating the whole 'curious one' bullshit. That was starting to grate on her nerves.]
no subject
[Frederick has a definite temperment now and Jay glanced over at that, being able to tell he was frustrated and letting out a sigh]
Before he continues, I would love to hear your logic on what makes us part of some group of yours that I, at the very least, wasn't even aware of being apart of.
[There's a frown heavy on his face. This is definitely a side of Frederick that hadn't been seen for at the very least a long time.
no subject
[She doesn't like seeing Frederick so damn frustrated. It's actually hard to see him that way because of how long it's been.]
I never made it so you weren't unaware, Frederick. We've all always been connected in some form or fashion. To an extent even before we all became a collective group.
no subject
[And there's Ronny on the couch kind of shrinking into the corner of it because AHAHA. THIS COULD END BADLY.]
