Self identity is one of the most important things in school and the one thing Ronny has always been terrible at. I love the boy, as does Alice and Danny, but he has no idea who he is in the world and he tries to please everyone. So if someone seems to be either going somewhere he's not sure he's comfortable

Or doesn't seem to need or want him around - and it's easy for him to think that - he will avoid that person like the plague until confronted. Two weeks freshman year I didn't see him. He was out sick the first week, but when he came back to school, he avoided me because I gave a heavy sigh that seemed annoyed.

If you seriously don't get that, even with whatever history you've got with him, either you've changed too much, or give him the credit he deserves but would never take.
