[There's a brief deer in headlights look at the tone, like he can't tell the difference between teasing and scolding, which was hard, but the fact Derek didn't seem to get frustrated told him it wasn't that bad so he gave a little nod and went to get the big pot from its spot under the counter, bringing it to Stiles]

[That smile of his gets a bit bigger and he moves over to the sink.]

Bring it over here. We're going to fill it halfway with water.

[Stiles watched everything that the fox did. The noodles, bread... making perfect garlic bread. Though he consoles the other part of himself when he accidently gets hot water splashed over his hand.

So by the time that Derek does return there's a full meal there. Spaghetti and meatballs along with garlic bread. Even freshly made orange juice.]

[Derek had wound up coming to after the meal was set, not being fully there for everything and looking at the meal. He could still kind of feel the slight throbbing from the burn to the hand, and he was quiet for a moment before glancing up to Stiles and putting a hand over his face]

[Don't look at him with that 'I win' tone of voice, sir.]

[Derek still gets the 'I win' face and grins.]

At least he knows more than the wolf.

[He might pay for that statement later because he knows how competitive the wolf is.]

Tomorrow we're doing dinner, than.

[Unless the wolf pushes for sooner but there'a only so much they can eat in one day]

If you don't wake up until around dinner time, you'll know you issued a challenge to the wolf.

[There's a chuckle and shrug. He knew his wolf well enough, after all.]
