You know that whatever front you're trying to put up is pointless with me, and while I'm not sure what exactly that is [A gesture to his watch] I know that it's what helped you knock the man unconscious. Really. If you want to know anything about the area, know that I'm the last man you will ever fool with any sort of childish behavior.

Though, to be perfectly fair to you, you're not dressed as though you're from the area, let alone time, however that would work.

[ Something has been nagging at the back of his head since he suddenly found himself in London from a much earlier time. He hadn't yet had the chance to devote any focus to it what with the robbery and then getting kidnapped but now it was pushing to the front of his mind. ]

[ Something about this man was familiar. Conan can feel his own heart beating faster as his disguise is torn down little by little. It's not often someone questions anything about him. They leave him to his own devices for the most part and it's likely because they have no idea how to handle him. Which is fine as he generally doesn't know how to handle them either. ]

[ It's the way he speaks that gives it away. The fact he mentioned Lestrade and now that he seems honestly a little insulted someone is trying to trick him. ]

[ The increased heart rate starts anew and this time it's not from discomfort. ]

[Mannerisms have changed from attempting to uncomfortably hide behind some average kid facade, this was definitely new, and while his being from 2016 was strange, it could be believable. He rose an eyebrow, though]

I'm going to take a guess and say you've figure out who I am?

[ He realises this is probably just a dream. Though It's been a while since he's had a dream about anything other than the black organisation and years since he's had one about meeting Sherlock Holmes-probably not since he was ten. Oh well, may as well go with it. ]

[ He supplies somewhat cheerfully. He could just admit outright that he knew or refer to the man by name but what's the fun in that? ]

Whoever wanted you dead clearly should have properly tested it. Especially seeing as they only to give you the body of a child. If the mishap had managed to alter how your mind functioned as well, that would be a much more impressive feat.

[ He knows that this is Sherlock Holmes-a man he holds in the highest possible regard. He also knows Sherlock Holmes is not known for his people skills but he can't help the stab of irritation at the mention of 'they should have properly tested it.' ]

Due to that though, I now go by the name Edogawa Conan. If they found out the truth... [ He lets the silence speak for itself. ]

Which would you prefer until you found your way back to your time?

[He crinkled his nose thinking about that more. Time travel. That was a hard concept to properly wrap his head around, but it was easier to just roll with it than anything.]

[ If it's only a dream then it doesn't really matter what he's going by, part of his brain is rather insistent that he continue to use Conan. Just in case. ]

[ Jeez. Has really gotten this bad? This is more than likely a dream and he's not even the right time period for them to make an appearance. ]

Alright. And if others are around, I'll stick with Conan.

Do you have any theories as to how you landed here as opposed to your own timeline?

Not really. Time travel is still only regarded as Science-fiction where I'm from. The only way it would be possible would be through a dream or particularly good book.

Other than that, I just sort of found myself here and that guy-[ He gestures to the unconscious purse snatcher ] Stole that lady's purse so I gave chase.
