[Once they get back home the wolf dutifully follows Derek inside. Though there's a bit of a huff about letting the human have his control back. However, Derek's hand gets nuzzled before the wolf runs off toward the bedroom letting Stiles have the control back once he's jumped up onto the bed.
Stiles, however, stares for a moment because...]
What the hell just happened?!
no subject
You showed that wolf who's boss!
[And he's moving to the doorway, raising an eyebrow to Stiles with a smirk that does all the 'I told you so' the actual words possibly could.]
no subject
[He narrows his eyes at his boyfriend.]
That is NOT funny, Derek. So stop laughing.
no subject
It's a little funny. I had you pull over because it was either going to be you shaking in your seat trying to control the wolf, or the wolf just coming out to play immediately. The latter happened.
no subject
And that is the last damn time that it happens.
[It's said with a bit of a growl because god... no. That just, no.]
It's not even remotely funny. So don't stand there and say it is.
no subject
[He's being honest, at least]
He was doing it as an 'I told you so' and I didn't tell him to shift back until now, because those clothes are as good as gone.
no subject
It's still not funny, Derek.
[No matter how true it was. No matter how confident he got. The wolf just... no.]
The wolf doing that could've ended with us in a car wreck.
no subject
[That was not only letting Stiles know but a reminder for the wolf, as well.]
But you two need to work together. Meditate one day, or something. Focus on just you and the wolf and try to bond.
no subject
You know damn good and well that he's not going to back off. So I don't even know why you're even trying on that one.
[He shakes his head.]
Right, meditate. You're out of your damn mind. You know good and well I'd never be able to sit that long.
no subject
I don't need you snapping and destroying something that can be kept from being destroyed if we can help it.
[He's crossing his arms as he pushes himself off the door frame, going to the kitchen in order to get something to eat, opting to just make himself a sandwich for the time being.]
no subject
[He shakes his head again because Derek was out of his damn mind. There was no way he was going to try and bond with the wolf. Not when the damn animal kept trying to take control. Wanted control. That just... Derek was wrong. It wouldn't stop anything from being destroyed. Besides, he wasn't that damn patient.
He throws a pair of sweats on and heads out to the couch, just curling up on the end of it. Not really focusing on anything. No, he ends up zoning out completely.]
no subject
no subject
[Only problem was that Stiles was completely zoned out. Derek could probably pinch him and it wouldn't really have much of an affect. It's only the feel of the wolf prodding at him that has Stiles blinking slightly and picking up the sandwich to eat it.]
no subject
He had moved from the couch, not too interested in turning the tv on right now, and moved to do some crunches in the area he'd cleared out so he could do things more easily. He wanted to be close by when Stiles came back to, after all.]
no subject
[Sorry, Derek, you might be waiting a while for that. After all, he's just... everything felt like it was falling apart to him. Though he does eventually come through enough that he's watching his boyfriend do the crunches, making a face at the fact that he's doing that.]
no subject
You're way too out of shape.
[He's judging you again but not that harshly right now. He's going to move to sit upright]
How're you feeling?
no subject
I'm not out of shape.
[Though it lacks conviction because he's tired of hearing that. If he was that out of shape he'd of never played lacrosse.]
I don't know how I'm feeling. Out of it, I don't know.
no subject
We'll figure this out. Promise.
no subject
[The moment that arm wraps around him, he leans into him.]
I want my body back.
no subject
[There's a sigh, rubbing Stiles' shoulder a bit]
no subject
You're not having a hard time, Derek. Only thing you even have to worry about is lacrosse and school. I can't even visit my friends. Not like this.
no subject
[And Scott knew from day 1]
no subject
That's not the same thing though. I can't just up and visit them. It'd be weird to do that while in your body. I'm sure mom would freak out seeing Scotty sitting there playing video games with me.
no subject
Have them come over here. Any big parties and I'll be pissed off, but if you wanted to hang out with them, have them come here.
no subject
What don't you get that it's not the same, Derek? I love you. I love your body. But hanging out with my friends just wouldn't be the same.
