[There's a nod more than a wave because he's pretty sure it'd look weird for 'Derek' to wave to 'Stiles'. Though he hears Finstock loud and clear, shaking his head. However, he does raise a brow when his boyfriend heads back out onto the field.

[Well he definitely didn't kill his body at that point. He was more jogging the rest of the practice, but it wasn't all that much left. And once done and changed he went to the Camaro]

Why not basketball, though?

Basketball didn't look interesting to me. Me and Scott wanted lacrosse from before high school.

Alright, so you play a sport where running is a requirement and you think of all things, suicide runs will kill you. Have you ever seen someone do them?

[It's a basketball thing and in his opinion is less physically demanding so he's questioning some logic here]

It's called having ADHD and not being able to focus, Derek. It's called doing research and falling asleep in class because I'm too damn worn out. So, it's not that I'm a bad student. It's the fact that a lot of the times it's my illness that screws me over.

Well, I wasn't able to focus, but falling asleep in class wasn't an issue. Not to mention I'd been up for about an hour and a half before you showed up this morning.

That's you, Derek. It's not me. Normally I take adderall in order to help focus. But that stopped working after the Nogitsune.

This is also the first day we're dealing with this.

Alright, I'll slack off a bit from now on.

Good. Because you do anything drastic and they'll call dad. Then dad will compliment it or say it needs to be done more.

[There's a shrug. Relaxing would be on the harder side for him, but alas.]

Not exactly, no. Maybe I'll go visit my dad or Peter.

Or just go for a run in the woods.
