[The fox blinked before nodding at the question. He definitely was.]

Mhm.

Let me see what we've got. I'm sure there's some noodles and meat sauce that I just got. So we'll make that.

[It's said with a small smile as he looks over toward where the fox was.]

So sit down and relax.

[Hey, he's trying.]

[The fox moved to sit on the couch, trying to relax. He was genuinely trying. He could tell Stiles wasn't happy about it, and still would never be able to shake that part of it was because of him at least.]

[Stiles focuses on making the food, doing everything he can to try and keep on the task at hand. When the food is done, he brings it to the table where the fox is sitting at.]

Be careful, it's hot. I don't want you burning yourself. No matter how much you heal.

[There's a small nod and tiny flicker of a smile, more nervous and tense, still, than anything. He waited a moment before getting a bite, blowing on it to make sure it was cooled enough before taking the bite, definitely looking happy with it.]

[There's a small smile out of him before he sits down with his own bowl, getting comfortable. As for the fox, well... he can't help how tense the fox is.]

[Which is funny because Stiles kind of can

He continues to eat, though, clearing his bowl of the food entirely before deciding to say something]

[There was a small smile from the fox, words still being carefully thought out and everything]

[Except where Stiles doesn't think that he can.]

Do you want anymore? There's enough in there for a second bowl if you want.

[There was a moment of debate before a small nod]

[There's a bit of a chuckle before he grabs the bowl, heads into the kitchen and makes another one before he comes back. The bowl is set down on the table.]

Eat up.

[There's another soft smile before the fox takes the bowl and does just that.]

[He eats his own bowl before doing everything he can to relax afterward. In fact, he just sits there. Even puts on some random movie more for the fox's benefit than his own. Especially when he doesn't know when he'll get Derek back.]

[The fox definitely focused in on the movie after eating and when it was put on, curling up in his seat for the time being.]

[Every once in a while Stiles would look over toward the fox, then at whatever movie they were watching. To be honest, he wasn't even sure what movie he'd put in. Just something he figured the fox would like. Especially since he's pretty sure that Derek would never watch it.]

[The fox would have probably sat still to watch pretty much anything, his eyes still focused on the television from his spot, hyperfocused on everything going on on screen.]

[He shakes his head and curls his feet up under him. Hell, he's pretty sure that he should take the fox to Deaton. Especially if something got jumbled up in his head. Something that allowed him to be in control of Derek's very human body.]

[Well, after the movie, the decision had been made to go to Deaton for a check up. The fox had been put in a pair of sunglasses if only because he couldn't quite get his eyes to go back to their natural color and they remained that bright orange.

When at the office, Deaton rose an eyebrow, letting them both back so they could talk more easily]

You're both lucky I didn't have any pets to tend to right now. What's going on?

[In response, the fox took the sunglasses off, blinking a bit and shifting from foot to foot, still anxious and nervous.]

[Stiles honestly wasn't sure what to do, not yet. When they do get to Deaton, however, he gives him a grim smile.]

Derek was in a car wreck earlier and the wreck jumbled up his shifting switch or something. Because the fox ended up in control of the human body.

The fox may have had a preference to not going home as a fox. It didn't necessarily jumble the shift, just enabled him to choose more accurately. I've seen, as have you, Derek in the form of the fox. Still very much Derek even if he wasn't shaped like...

[This entire thing is weird]

Well like you, right now.

[There's a sigh, trying to think this through entirely]

[He shakes his head and frowns at that, the frown deepening.]

Is there a way to fix this though?

[Because Derek's still the one that just... The fox should've come back home a fox. Not overtaking the body.]

Time. That's the only way I can see this getting fixed. At least without the use of magic somehow. But have you thought of maybe trying to figure out why the fox preferred to be as he is now as opposed to going home as a fox?

[Because he feels there might be a reason behind it, after all.]

[Stiles clenches his jaw slightly.]

Time? Really? That's what you're throwing at me. All because the fox decided that 'Hey, lets take over and be human for a while.' So, no, there has to be some other way other than magic.

[Even as he says it those eyes flash slightly. Almost as if to say 'I KNOW!']

[Well, the fox was moving to be where he could still hear, but where he didn't feel like the backlash would be too much.

Deaton noticed it, of course, and sighed]

This gives you a better chance to get to know him. I understand you're not all that interested in it, but it's the only real option I can think to give you. The fox likely made the voluntary decision that it was either stay still in the background with Derek being admitted to the hospital with virutally no wounds from a car wreck, or to contact you as a human and hope for the best.

[Stiles crosses his arms and shakes his head.]

No, actually, he could've shifted to fox form and come HOME. He didn't need to take over the body and call. He knows exactly where home is so he could've shifted. And I don't need the fox in a human body just to get to know him.

[myrules_myhouse]

[The fox was in the midst of a panic attack as he quickly moved to get to the other side of the partition in order to close himself in the bathroom on the other side, curling up in the corner with his knees pulled to his chest, trying to not listen to the words being said or anything like that.

Deaton frowned at the response and looked to Stiles]

He probably chose this in an attempt to keep you more at ease. The fox is still young.
